Emotional triggers

In most of my work, I grapple with emotional triggers. These stop us from being our best selves. If not managed, we find ourselves in never ending negative loops of action-reaction cycles with others. I was reminded last week in our difficult conversation role plays where we clearly saw how self-sabotaging we were. But this also plays close to home as I have constant discussions with my children on rising above their instinctual selves.

Kudos to Fred Kofman whose teachings on Conscious Leadership I’ve drawn inspiration from in my sketch below. Deep breaths help in the moment, but if you can’t, reflections are great to stop the cycle!
