What is an object-oriented UI?

There are two types of user interfaces: an object-oriented user interface and a function-oriented user interface.
One of the most important characteristics of an OOUI is that adopts a ‘noun-verb’, and function-oriented interfaces adopt ‘verb-noun.’ For example, when you open an email app with OOUI, you can see the list of emails first. You select an email from the list, go to the detail screen of the email, and select an action such as Reply, Forward and Delete. If the app is based on function-oriented user interfaces, you will see a list of actions first. You choose an action first and choose its target. This email app sounds odd and troublesome, but recalling an ATM, you should have faced this type of user interfaces.
